Tour the Crystal Coast, see the beautiful Bear Island, or take a leisurely trip across the Bogue sound. (252) 247-7303 Website Mystery Tours, Inc.- Touted as the longest running tour company on the Crystal Coast, Mystery Tours has three Coast Guard approved vessels in its fleet, capable of carrying up to 246 passengers. In addition to lighthouse, dolphin watch, and fishing tours, the company offers a Treasure Hunt Tour, which is great for children 4-12 years old. Golf Bogue Banks Country Club - A semi-private golf course nestled among the sand dunes and maritime forests of Pine Knoll Shores. The course provides spectacular views of the Bogue Sound as well as the abundant wildlife and is located just minutes from Sun Bay. General Attractions North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores - Located less than one mile from Sun Bay Villas, this newly expanded acquarium
houses a gigantic 306,000 gallon ocean tank and a "Living Shipwreck," which replicates Black Beard's flagship, The Queen Anne's Revenge, and the German U352 sub. These incredible replicas of the infamous wreckage located directly off of the island's shores feature a viewing window that is more than 60 feet long!. The aquarium also features a touch tank,
interactive exhibits, a large auditorium, and a gift shop. Popular favorites like moray eels, octopus, seahorses, horseshoe crabs, sea turtles and sharks are all still featured, but new exhibits like the stingray touch tank and the river otter exhibit broaden the animal collection. On the outside of the aquarium, there are two nature trails. (252) 247-4003 Website Fort Macon State Park - Located on the eastern end of the island, Fort Macon State Park is North Carolina's most popular state park, attracting nearly 1.5 million visitors annually. The park is over 400 acres in size and features Fort Macon, which was built in 1834. The park is abundant with wildlife. Stacy's offers moonlight cruises and harbor tours during the summer months. The club features a live DJ, who packs the dance floor with remixes of today’s most popular dance music.
